IC Scholars Honors Program

Illinois College Scholars Program

Each year approximately 10 percent of the incoming first-year class is invited to membership in IC Scholars Honors Program. Through IC Scholars, you will complete a first-year honors seminar, four honors assignments across a variety of courses before the end of your junior year and an honors capstone project.

IC scholars honors program

This program is a great fit if you are passionate about learning and willing to take risks in your educational journey. You will engage with the complex global issues confronting our world today. Our students make up a diverse community of scholars who want to challenge themselves to think differently and apply knowledge in a meaningful way.

There are many benefits within the IC Scholars program like additional opportunities for mentoring, research and travel — including a fully-funded global BreakAway trip. You will work closely with faculty advisors in the program who will foster your academic passions and mentor your intellectual pursuits. The program will also provide additional preparation for graduate school and nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships.

Students interested in the honors program at Illinois College should submit their application for admission to IC by December 1. Invitations to attend Bright BLUE, where you will meet the director, learn more about the program and interview to be an IC Scholar, will be mailed by January 5.
